Windows8 pre-beta has been launched and most exciting features are the metro style start menu along with a Windows store where everyone can download Metro style applications along with conventional Win32 applications. Everyone knows about the features of Windows8 but I would like to share few of them that are really great.

Metro Style Start Menu

New start menu for Windows8 which is really cool and that is metro style, see the picture given below.

Metro style menu will make it very convenient for the ordinary users to select the desired application without wasting any time on finding the application from the legacy start menus like Windows XP.

I like to share this news with the readers who love Apple for its creativity and smartness. Apple has introduced a lot of big and great things in the computer and smart phone market like Apple Macintosh, IPhone, IPad, and IPod. All these things have a great thinking and vision of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs is the one who created Apple in Early 70’s and made this company a very successful and top list in computer market as well as a brilliant smart phone company. Many other companies who are very old and expert in smart and simple phone like Nokia also believe that IPhone is the best thing ever available in the smart phone market.

Why I am sharing this information with you guys is that because many people will think that if Steve Jobs was so important and was playing a key role in Apple then what will happen if he leaves the company, what about the future releases and more and more excellent inventions? Steve Jobs already did this thin in mid Eighties when his own created company fired him and started a new company named PIXAR where he created master piece movies and graphical things so it will not effect the company and did not create a panic situation.

When Windows 7 Service Pack 1 was released, a lot of people were complaining about the problems they were getting after installation. A lot of experts also advised to stay away from SP1 because it was creating problems for some people although most of the people were fine even after the installation of Service Pack 1.

Microsoft was investigating the issue for a long time and it turned out to be the problem with the Windows Memory Manager. When the computer starts using high memory due to a lot of programs open at a time, the memory manager starts requesting paging in and paging out request and ultimately the computer freezes. This problem is due to a system file called Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager (fltmgr.sys).

Microsoft has released a hotfix for this problem. By installing the hotfix, you can easily get rid of the freezing problem. You should download and install the hotfix as soon as possible as it is high priority.

Download the hotfix

Please note that you will need to click on View and request hotfix downloads link at the top of the page in order to download the hotfix. This hotfix also applies to Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP1.
